Q - Do I need to purchase air with Total Vacations in order to take advantage of the special pricing on accommodation?
A - All of our product is designed with flexibility in mind and each component can be purchased individually or can be packaged in order to customize your vacation. The Possibilities Are Endless-It is all up to you!
Q - What do I do if I lose my tickets/travel vouchers?
A - You need to contact your travel agent or Total Vacations immediately. A re-issue charge may apply.
Q - How do I know what the cancellation penalties are for my reservation?
A - You should check with your travel agent or refer to our Terms And Conditions page on this website. We always recommend that you purchase travel insurance. For more information, contact your travel agent.
Q - How far in advance should I be at the airport for my flight?
A - A good guideline to follow is 3 hours prior to departure for an international flight and 1.5 hours prior to departure for a domestic flight. Keep in mind to always leave enough time for yourself to travel to the airport considering traffic and weather conditions. All airlines do reserve the right to deny your boarding if you arrive too late as they usually close the flight anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to flight time depending on the destination.
Q - What are the restrictions regarding luggage allowance?
A - All airlines allow at least 2 checked pieces plus one carry on however the weight restrictions vary with each airline. It is best to check with the airline that you are travelling with. Strollers and car seats are rarely counted towards your two-piece allowance.
Q - How do I verify what documentation is required for entry into the country I am travelling to?
A - As the legal requirements are always changing, it is best to verify with the consulate for the country you are travelling to or to contact your travel agent.
Q - What time to I have to check out of my hotel?
A - Both the check in and check out times will vary by resort/hotel, however a good guideline to follow is 3pm for check in and 12pm for check out. If you arrive at the hotel before check in time or depart after check out time, most hotels in the Caribbean and Mexico provide a hospitality room to shower and change and will keep your luggage in a secure location until it is needed.
